Finland’s Wartsila will supply the design for converting a seismic survey ship owned by C-Bed to a hotel vessel.
The ship solution provider said the 7,760-gt Viking II (built 1999) will be used to accommodate 125 people and transfer crew working on offshore wind farms after the conversion.
Wartsila’s project is being carried out at Denmark’s Fayard shipyard and is expected to be completed during the first quarter of next year.
