Saipem, one of the world’s three top-tier subsea contractors, has secured two maritime-related contracts worth EUR 180m ($195m).

The Milan-based company has been awarded an installation contract for the Johan Sverdrup Export Pipelines Project by Statoil.

The field is located in the North Sea, 155 km west of Stavanger, and is one of the five biggest oil fields on the Norwegian continental shelf, with expected reserves of up to 3bn barrels of oil equivalent.
