MPI Offshore has secured a contract from European power company RWE to remove the IJmuiden Met Mast in the North Sea.
The wind-turbine installation vessel MPI Resolution (built 2003) has been contracted by the German company to decommission the structure.
In 2011, RWE installed the 100 metre high met mast in waters up to about 26 metres, about 85km off the Dutch coast.
