Songa Offshore is to sack 200 staff and close offices in Scotland and South Korea, the company has confirmed.
The Oslo-listed rig owner said the job cuts, which account for one-in-seven of its staff, involves 76 employees and 124 contractors.
The company described the cuts as part of its move to transform the company from being “largely a projects organization to an optimized operating organization”.
