Svitzer remains in expansion mode after striking a deal to bolster its presence in the Caribbean.
The tug owner will have an expanded role at the NuStar terminal in St. Eustatius, starting from this month.
Svitzer will take over the operation from previous service provider Seabulk, whose four tugs and four bunker barges will become part of the Svitzer’s business.
Martin Helweg, managing director of Svitzer Americas, said: “The contract is an important milestone in our continuous growth in the Americas and we are happy to expand our cooperation with NuStar.”
