North Sea anchor-handler spot rates have plunged 83% from last week as tonnage built up in ports.
Brokers said the 198-bp Maersk Helper was fixed by DONG Energy at NOK 120,000 ($14,700) for the Maersk Giant rig move.
This is down from NOK 725,000 previously, the highest level since December.
Utilisation was down at 35% with 18 vessels waiting for work in the UK and Norway, despite 26 ships being laid up in North Sea ports.
