George Economou’s OceanRig is close to penning a new contract for one of its vessels off West Africa.
Ziad Nakhleh, CFO of parent company DryShips, revealed on a conference call that a US contractor is ready to take the Eirik Raude on for “a few wells”.
Nakhleh claims a rate of more than $500,000 per day is on the cards for the rig should ink meet paper to confirm the deal.
