George Economou’s Ocean Rig has found work for a semi-submersible rig while it looks for longer period employment.
Nasdaq-listed Ocean Rig says the Eirik Raude has been picked up for a two-well programme off West Africa.
In a statement it explains the contract is worth $67.5m over 84 days.
The charterer, which it does not name, also has the option take extend the deal for an extra well.
