A fresh attempt to merge Solstad Offshore and Rem Offshore could finally unite two companies that have been the best of rivals for a decade but any deal still seems some way off today.
As TradeWinds reported yesterday Kjell Inke Rokke-led Aker blocked a restructuring of Rem and is now championing a merger with Solstad.
Rem has hit back, calling the actions "hostile and unfriendly", according to wire reports noted by Arctic Securities this morning.
