Maersk Supply Services has taken its medicine in one dose as it looks to address an unprecedented offshore market downturn that has left more than 1,000 vessels laid-up globally, its chief executive says.

A plan to dispose of 20 vessels and cut 400 staff revealed today aims to set the company up for the future and is unrelated to an ongoing strategic review at parent AP Moller-Maersk, explains Jorn Madsen.
