Sealink International has plunged into the red with a second quarter loss of MYR 8.8m ($2.2m) reversing the year-ago profit of MYR 1.6m.

The Malaysian offshore vessel operator saw revenue increase 13% to MYR 40.4m, while costs increased 68% to MYR 42.3m.

Sealink saw shipbuilding revenue go from MYR 558,000 last year to MYR 21.4m in the second quarter of 2016 on the back of a vessel sale.
