Thirteen P&O ferries crew have failed a random drugs test.

The Sun daily reported that the checks on 104 seafarers took place on the 30,600–gt Pride of Canterbury (built 1991), which plies a cross-Channel route from the UK to France.

Urine samples were taken on two crossings last Thursday.

The company said it would sack anyone found to have broken its zero-tolerance policy on drugs.
