Seabourn Cruise Line is facing a lawsuit over the death of a woman who went overboard from a cruiseship.

The daughter of Wendy Portman Lewis filed the case in the US federal court in Seattle alleging that the Carnival subsidiary failed to protect the passenger on the 462-berth Seabourn Quest (built 2011).

Lawyer Michael Myers of Myers & Co contended that too much alcohol was served on the ship and that the rail that the woman fell over was among unreasonably dangerous conditions on the Bahamas-flagged vessel.
