Iran and Oman have launched the first ever shipping line between the two Gulf countries.
The link connects Bandar Abbas and Port Khasab, the Kuwait News Agency said.
Omani minister of commerce and industry Ali bin Masoud Al-Sunaidy said in a press statement that the short distance between the two is a chance to promote bilateral economic relations.
The freight and passenger service will also help tourism, he added.
