Alexis Kondilis-led Larus SA has emerged as the buyer of the last in a supramax quartet that recently left the fleet of Theodore Veniamis’s Golden Union.

Reference sources show low-profile Larus as controlling the 56,800-dwt Flag Mersinidi (renamed Ageri, built 2012), a ship reported sold last month at a price between $7.5m and $8.5m.

This is the final puzzle in a below-the-radar transaction that gradually came to light over the past couple of months and saw Golden Union shedding a for 56,800-dwt supramax sisterships ordered for top dollar at Cosco Guangdong almost 10 years ago.
