Greece’s Transmed Shipping has reportedly agreed to buy three 2013-built kamsarmaxes at $16.75m each.

The ships are the 84,000-dwt sisterships Mangan Trader I, Mangan Trader II and Mangan Trader III (all built in 2013), brokers said. Reference sources show the ships being under control of Japan’s Nisshin.

Officials at Athens- and Nicosia-based Transmed were not immediately available for comment.

As recently as three weeks ago, Charalambos Mylonas-controlled Transmed was linked to the purchase of yet another Japanese-held kamsarmax -- the 82,000-dwt Barock (built 2007), which reportedly fetched a firm $11m.
