Heavy-lift owner Allseas has reportedly bought Volstad Shipping's newbuild construction vessel Volstad Oceanic.
The company has confirmed a deal for the 6,600-dwt vessel, Volstad Oceanic, Clarksons said.
The ship will be used as a support vessel for survey work, structure and protection structure installation.
It will also support Allseas' huge 403,000-gt heavy-lifter Pioneering Spirit (built 2014) for preparatory work for platform removals and installations.
