George Economou today declared a new era for DryShips underway as it confirmed the purchase of an additional bulker and took delivery of a crude tanker.
The US-listed company has bought an 82,100-dwt kamsarmax built in 2014 for $24m, it told investors.
While the ship was not named, TradeWinds reported yesterday that the owner was behind the acquisition of the 82,200-dwt United Splendour (built 2014).
