Bangkok-listed AMA Marine has revealed that it has purchased the 13,000-dwt stainless steel tanker Global Jupiter (built 2008) from Alavanca Inc, a Panamanian affiliate of Japan’s Global Marine Service Co.
The company is paying $11.2m for the ship according to a statement to the Stock Exchange of Thailand. It paid a 10% deposit on 11 July, with the final payment due on 15 August.
