Torm has made good on its pledge to grow its fleet during 2017 with a swoop for up to eight medium range tankers from the former Guangzhou Shipyard International.
Copenhagen-listed Torm says it will buy four tankers under construction at the yard for delivery in 2019. Financing for the ships is already in the bag.
It has also secured options for four similar tankers with delivery slated for later the same year.
