Eurotankers sends aframax to Bangladesh for $6.2m

Eurotankers of Greece is selling a 24-year-old tanker for demolition.

 Sources say the 93,000-dwt Genie (built 1993) has gone to Bangladesh for $380 per ldt, or $6.2m. The Greek owner bought the ship as Pink Sands for $11.75m in October 2010.

In March, Eurotankers sold the 72,000-dwt bulker Mar (built 1997) for demolition to Bangladesh for $356 per ldt. The company is listed with a fleet of 16 ships, of which 13 are tankers and three are bulkers.
