Japan’s K Line could fetch up to $25m for its Universal-built 299,000-dwt tanker Isuzugawa (built 2004).

The owner has been calling for inspections recently and the tanker has been seen by five potential buyers, sources say.

Bids are to be submitted by Thursday this week. Isuzugawa is due for special survey in January 2019.

Whilst other elderly VLCCs have been sold to Asian buyers, a 13-year-old unit like Isuzugawa could end up with a European, possibly a Greek, buyer it is being suggested.
