An Alaskan state ferry idle since 2015 has finally been sold.
Alaska Dispatch News said the 7,300-gt Taku (built 1963) went for $300,000, according to the state.
Three companies put in bids, but Portland-based company KeyMar emerged as the winner and may now turn the ship into a floating hotel.
The two other bidders had offered around $50,000 to scrap the ferry.
