Greek shipowner Goldenport Shipmanagement is set to make a significant profit on an 11-year-old panamax it bought early last year.
The 76,500-dwt Madeleine (built 2006) is likely to fetch $12m to $12.5m. The company bought what was then called the Serenata from Japan’s K Line for $6.6m in April 2016, when it was due for special survey.
The ship is scheduled to arrive in Mizushima, Japan, for discharge early next month, where it will be available for inspection.
