Lundqvist Rederierna of Finland has sold an aframax tanker earlier than expected.
The 98,000-dwt Alfa Germania (built 1998) is reported to have been sold as-is in Port Said likely for some $6.6m.
Managing director Ben Lundqvist confirmed the sale but told TradeWinds that he is informed that the ship has not gone to a demolition buyer.
He declined to provide further details on the transaction, citing confidentiality.
