Mini-bulker owner Wilson has opted to offload one of its elderly bulkers, the company has confirmed in a regulatory filing.
The Oslo-listed shipowner told investors that it had disposed of the 7,106-dwt Wilson Tyne (built 1980) for $860,000.
“The Wilson Tyne was scheduled for drydocking and we believe it was not worth taking the ship through such a process due to the vessel’s age,” Wilson said.
