Atlantica Shipping and Arne Blystad-controlled Songa Container are adding more boxship tonnage as Norwegian owners increasingly invest in the segment.

Both companies are buying 10-year-old containerships from German banks. Songa Container is acquiring the 2,000-teu OM Iridium and Atlantica is purchasing the sistership OM Agarum (both built 2008), according to market sources. They are said to be paying $7.75m each.
