The reported sale of a seven-year-old supramax at a firm price has spawned speculation about the identity of its apparently Greek buyer.
However, both of the companies that are rumoured to be the new owner deny having anything to do with the 55,600-dwt Rose Balsam (built 2011), which is said to have changed hands on New Year’s Eve for $16.1m.
