JP Morgan Global Alternatives has flipped a tidy profit after selling on one of its supramax bulkers, brokers say.

Led by Andy Dacy, the company was one of the most active buyers of dry cargo tonnage in 2017 but has now shown signs of realizing gains on some of those assets.

Sale and purchase brokers say the 55,000-dwt Sage Pioneer (built 2008) has been offloaded in a $14m transaction.
