Greece’s Sea Globe Management has purchased a supramax from a major Taiwan owner, probably in replacement of a smaller, older vessel the Athens-based company sold for further trading last year.
Vassilis Laliotis-led Sea Globe has purchased the 55,700-dwt Poseidon SW (built 2011) for $12.3m, TradeWinds has learned.
This seems a good price, considering that VesselsValue estimates the Oshima-built vessel is worth a full $13.5m.
