India's Mercator has confirmed the disposal of a veteran bulker for scrap.
Best Oasis of Hong Kong has paid $4.25m for the 69,000-dwt Vrinda (built 1997), it said.
The deal is expected to be completed by 6 April.
TradeWinds reported last week that the ship had been sold as is in Colombo for demolition in Pakistan at $450 per ldt or $4.5m.
