Norwegian mini-bulker owner Wilson has sold another elderly ship from its 100-plus fleet.

The Oslo-listed company said the 6,200-dwt Wilson Rye (built 1976) has gone for EUR 525,000 ($640,000).

The Kleven-built vessel had a drydocking imminent and the owner did not see this as financially viable given its age.

Wilson will book a small gain from the sale and also enjoy a liquidity boost, as proceeds are higher than debt on the ship.
