Axis Bulk Carriers has added another ship to its growing panamax fleet, continuing a steady but cautious expansion after its establishment in Athens four years ago.
The Maria Madia-led company acquired the 79,500-dwt Golden Trader II (built 2012), a vessel formerly controlled by Japan’s Nisshin Shipping, according to broking and shipmanagement sources in Piraeus.
TradeWinds, however, understands that the Golden Trader II is to be delivered to its new owners soon.
