Clipper sells again

Denmark’s Clipper group has offloaded another two tankers in a busy start to 2013.

Danish bunker company OW has bought the 3,600-dwt OW Aalborg (built 2005, ex Clipper Barolo) and 3,500–dwt OW Copenhagen (built 2006, ex Clipper Barbera) for an undisclosed amount, Clipper told TradeWinds.

Both ships were built by Yardimci in Turkey and were on bareboat charter to OW.

Clipper has already sold the 8,800-dwt Clipper Trinidad (built 1998) and Clipper Tobago (built 1999) to two different buyers in Asia this year.

The stainless-steel coated products/chemical carriers are operated by Nordic Tankers and went for about $5.5m.
