The Norwegian yard said Skansi will take over the contract for hull 111, a 4,200-dwt vessel of Havyard 833 L design, with delivery expected in June.
A charter contract with BG Group for supply, standby rescue and oil-recovery operations will underpin the investment.
No value was placed on the deal but broking sources suggest a newbuild of that design currently retails at up to NOK 340m ($60m).
