Soanes, a founding face of Braemar before it teamed with Seascope, is said to have quit Monday.

Most recently he headed the shipbroker's technical services arm and is currently chairman of the Baltic Exchange.

TradeWinds reported last month that his son Dominik Soanes, who worked on the dry cargo department at the company’s London HQ, had stepped down.

Soanes’ other son, Dorian, who works on the S&P desk in Singapore is also believed to have resigned.
