The New York-listed company’s subsidiary Seabulk Tankers will take delivery of a 50,000-dwt LNG-conversion-ready vessel in the final quarter of 2016, it said today.

The deal comes just two months after Seabulk penned a contract for the first two vessels which are expected to hit the water in the second quarter of 2016 and early 2017.

Terms have not been revealed but the ships are of the same design as four units American Petroleum Tankers (APT) ordered at Nassco in May, reportedly for a fee of around $125m each.
