An unnamed source was cited by the state-owned Dau Tunewspaper as saying the company "will not implement the construction" of the delayed$180m plant in Khanh Hoa.
No reason was given, but work that was due to begin in August this yearwas unable to start due to incomplete site clearance on 304 hectares of land.
It was expected to be operational by 2017, with thecapacity to build 24 ships per year, of 56,000 dwt and 38,000 dwt.
