The Korean shipyard will build five vessels for a Europeanowner at a cost of KRW 621bn ($584m), it disclosed in a stock exchange filingtoday.
Though it did not reveal the size of the containerships, the$116.8m price tag suggests vessels in the region of 14,000-teu.
Delivery is set to begin in September 2016.
Samsung sealed a deal in late November for seven 9,300-teu newbuildingsat a cost of $85m each.
