TheSingapore-based shipowner has acquired the 56,023-dwt Ikan Serong(built 2006) for close to $23m, according to brokers.
Brokers say it is a sistership to the 56,013-dwt Aoyama (built 2006) acquired by Hong Kong shipowner PacificBasin for $22m.
InNovember Thoresen bought the 55,862-dwt Medi Chennai (built 2006) for a price saidto have been below $20m.
Theship was delivered last week and has been renamed Thor Mercury and will initiallytrade on Mediterranean and Atlantic routes.
