The Hong Kong-based company has ordered five 208,000-dwt bulkers at the Chinese shipbuilder plus options for five more.
The newbuildings, due for delivery from 2016, have been ordered on the back of long-term bareboat charters from Greece’s Oceanbulk.
Details of the charter duration and rate were not disclosed, but brokers believe Oceanbulk has an option to purchase the ships when the charters end.
