In a statement the Greek operator saidit offloaded the 300,500-dwt Shinyo Navigator(built 1996) for approximately $17.4m.

The company noted the vessel had served ascollateral on its 8.125% First Priority Ship Mortgage Notes due 2021, whichwill be now secured by the 297,200-dwt Nave Galactic (built 2009) instead.

The Shinyo Navigator made headlines threemonths ago when market sources said cash buyers picked up the VLCC for around $434per ldt, which would have amounted to a payday of approximately $18.4m.
