Damen already owns 70% of the new Song Cam yard, with SBIC holding the rest. The plant opened last month and has an orderbook of 21 ships.
SBIC chairman Nguyen Ngoc Su toldlocal media: "Damen has expressed its wish to buy more shares of the SongCam company, as well as of other SBIC companies.
“We are considering it and will report to the ministry of transport.”
