New York-listed Navios says it has taken the 298,300-dwt tanker (built 2003) in a $43.5m move.

Angeliki Frangou, chief executive of the Navios group, said in a statement: “Navios Acquisition is a premier tanker company having expanded its fleet at attractive points in the cycle.

“Today, our fleet of 11 VLCCs makes Navios Acquisition one of the leading public owners of VLCCs."
