The Baltic ferry group said a letter ofintent has been signed to have the vessels running between Rostock in Germany and Gedser in Denmarkbefore the peak season in 2015.

A final contract will be signed in earlysummer, allowing the ships to replace two older vessels.

Scandlines said: “The two new vessels aretailor-made for the route and will offer ample space as each ferry will have acapacity of 1,300 passengers and 480 cars or 96 trucks.”
