Shipbuilding Industry Corp (SBIC), which replaced debt-laden state company Vinashin, estimates turnover at VND 1 trillion ($47.2m) to 30 June, down 29% year-on-year.
This is according to a statement from the transport ministry.
Vinashin was restructured after running up debt of more than $4bn through diversification in the financial crisis.
