Gossip in shipbroking circles suggests Diana had taken a second hull at Qingdo Beihai to follow its $58m capture of a sister-ship in the past week.
TradeWinds understands Diana has not purchased the ship and is not looking to do so in the short term.
“Diana might be interested in this vessel, but no more so than it is in 1,000 other capesizes and 2,000 other panamaxes,” one source quipped.
