The 660-passenger, 9,800-gt vessel (built 1974) has gone to Star Sail Investments for HKD 93m ($12m).

The company was expected to record an unaudited pre-tax gain of HKD 44.2m from the deal.

It had a 55% interest in the cruiseship.

The vessel is a nine-decker flagged in the Bahamas. It operates on a daily basis from Hong Kong to international waters.

It was acquired for $14m in 2011 as  Omar II.
