The shipbuilder said it won contracts worth $11.2bn in the first half, compared to $14.6bn in the same period of 2013.
This year the company has won deals including LPG carriers for Dorian and Aurora, LNG carriers for GasLog and Knutsen, plus tankers for Navig8 and 14,000-teu boxships for UASC.
