The Tacoma shipyard will be auctioned off on Friday in a court sale.
It owes more than $5m to its last major customer, Alaskan Leader Fisheries, which has foreclosed.
Joe Martinac Jr, the yard’s president, told local media eleventh-hour efforts to find new business failed to produce new contracts that would stave off the shipyard’s auction.
